After the quiet implosion of Black Sabbath in the late 70's, it was lead singer Ozzy Osbourne that set out to redeem himself musically. He took the advice of his shrewd manager who just happened to be his wife, surrounded himself with a monster band, including the now legendary Randy Rhodes, and in 1981 released his solo debut entitled "Blizzard Of Ozz." The album combined the virtuosic talent of Randy Rhodes with the vocal caricatures of Ozzy and the controversial lyrics to songs like "Suicide Solution" and the ode to Satanist Aleister Crowley, "Mr. Crowley." This volatile mix ensured Ozzy both notoriety and commercial success.
