Gordon Lightfoot, the Ontario, Canada born guitar performer and songwriter, has been a force in the music world since the 60's. You probably remember his "Early Mornin' Rain", an early composition made famous by Peter, Paul and Mary. Along came "If You Could Read My Mind" in the 70's, followed by "Sundown" which became a #1 hit. Folk music declined in popularity in the latter part of the 70's, but Lightfoot has remained a presence, and has released music well into the 2000's.
